JACO SIEBERHAGEN

For the past 30 years Jaco Sieberhagen has exhibited extensively in South Africa and abroad. . Up and above the 167 two and three person and group exhibitions he has participated in, he has already done 13 solo exhibitions. He has also participated in 16 international exhibitions in places as far afield as the USA, France, Italy, Germany, Russia, Ghana, Nigeria, China and Taiwan to name a few. His monumental works are included in Sculpture Parks in China and Taiwan and in private collection in Holland, England and Australia. His works are represented in more than 25 public and corporative collections in South Africa for example Sanlam, Rand Merchant Bank, Sasol, Cell-C, Hollards, Nando’s UK, Iziko Museum, Constitutional Court, ext. The most recent commission was for the new City of Johannesburg Council Chambers. In a very unique way Jaco uses the laser cut silhouette sculptures to take the viewer on a road of discovery. “I want to take the viewers mind for a walk” Jaco said explaining that he sees his sculptures as visual writings telling stories.
