I have always stayed true to my narrative. To recreate and deconstruct sensation that's relatable. Finding the right balance between confident brush and knife strokes has always played an integral role in the process of my art making. The luscious layers of paint give the work a tactile quality that engage all my senses.
The element of surprise and "unexpected accidental meets intentional” will always excite me. Watching the work evolve and stepping out of my comfort zone breathes new life into this body of work. There is a sentimental undertone in all the works. Discarded once loved vases now take centre stage with absolute confidence like an Opera singer. Landscapes that echo messages of longing and warm familiarity today perhaps tomorrow.
My love for flowers has always played an essential role. They become vehicles loaded with wit and seriousness. They morph and giggle they hide and seek they are my flowers.
